International Day For Mine Awareness And Assistance In Mine Action, Yemen
On April 4, the world celebrates the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. The Wounded Foundation called for continued mine action efforts and actions that is a serious threat to the safety of the civilian, especially children and women.
The Wounded Foundation appreciates the humanitarian efforts of the YEMAC (Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre), the center provided a humanitarian assistance to those in need and those affected. it conducted a number of field visits, including visits to the handicapped center of the Wounded Foundation.
Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre has removed over 360,000 explosive remnants each one capable of causing death or severe injury; screened 2,500 injured victims.
The Foundation is interested in all casualties caused by the remnants of cluster bombs and landmines and provides them all medical services. The Foundation wishes to intensify all efforts to make Yemen free from mines and remnants of cluster bombs and to provide full treatment to all mine victims.
